If you're using the Lodge Card and Custom Fields features on Trainline Business, you can easily send custom field data to your payment card provider (e.g., Diners or Amex) for more detailed reporting. This guide will walk you through the process of setting it up:

  1. Navigate to Account Settings (admin users only)
  2. In the account settings menu, click on Payment Methods
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the Payment Methods page, and you will find an option labeled ‘Send custom field data to card provider’
  4. Configure the custom fields you would like to send to your payment provider from the options available

If you are using a Diners Lodge Card: 

  • Only two custom fields you send will be sent to your Diners portal

What Happens Next?

Once this setup is complete, all future bookings will automatically send the configured custom field data to your payment provider. 

This data will be included in your payment provider's reporting, offering more detailed tracking and insights into your transactions.
